The Challenge

Haband was dealing with a notable decline in organic presence. They saw a 40% decline in Page 1 Keywords MoM. After a technical audit, Blue Moon Digital discovered there were several duplicate pages that were created by their CMS.

Our Solution

Since these pages offered no value to shoppers, slowed Google’s crawlers and wasted budget, Blue Moon Digital leveraged the noindex and nofollow directives to keep Google from crawling and indexing duplicate content. As an extra measure, URL Parameter settings in Google Search Console were adjusted.

Continuing efforts were focused on the hardest-hit pages with unique content that targeted high-value keywords and connected with shoppers.
